Casino Midas Review

Midas works with the Realtime Games (RTG) suite. These titles may not be the best in terms of graphics or sound, but they benefit from one of the cleanest and crispest interfaces found on any casino games. The Help button gets you instant access to an in-depth strategy guide, and the engine is not only realistic, but stunningly fast. RTG boasts that its standard blackjack game can produce up to seven hands every minute. We couldn't dispute that, and found the gameplay to be fast and utterly furious. For those who like to skip the fancy schmancy graphics and cut to the meat of the game, the RTG software is superb (read the Real Time Gaming casino software review here).

Limited But Exciting Range of Games

The range of blackjack titles isn't vast, but you get several well-crafted versions of the basic game, plus some nice twists. Perfect Pairs lets you place side bets and win extra when certain pairs come up - so you'll get a 6x payout when a mixed pair is turned up, for instance, or a 12x payout for a coloured pair. Super 21 and Match Play 21 are variations that pay extra for multicard 21s or other combinations. A 777 in Spades, for instance, pays out 3x, while 777 suited pays out 2x.

The RTG software isn't always state-of-the-art, though, and this does affect Midas in a few areas. If you want true multiplayer action, there are better sites, for instance. You also don't get access to Live Dealer options. Many players are more trusting if they can see the cards being dealt - even though it's possible for an unscrupulous casino to cheat, even during a live dealer game. You also get more atmosphere and excitement from playing against a human dealer, and in the company of other players. Unfortunately, Midas can't yet offer such a type of play. Neither is there an option for specially customised mobile software - although the simplicity of the blackjack interface means that Android users, for instance, will still be able to gain a good gaming experience, even without specialist software.

Golden Bonuses

Midas conjures up genuine gold with its magical string of bonuses. As a welcome, the firm will give you bonuses on your first three deposits (up to £500 each time). The bonus ranges from 100% on your first deposit, and stretches up to 200% with your third deposit! You will have to turn over your deposit and bonus 25 times before you can withdraw these amounts, but blackjack can contribute 25% towards the wagering requirements - and roulette a very generous 50%.

Countless other bonuses are provided at regular intervals, though. The Tuesday Reload, for instance, gives you a 50% increase on deposits of up to £100, while the weekends and holiday seasons see a variety of delicious promotions. The excellent Comp Points scheme lets you work your way through a series of levels, earning points and then exchanging them for money. The higher the level, the more quickly you can turn points into pounds.

Great Customer Support

Not all of the companies using RTG software can be trusted, but Midas has a strong reputation, and we experienced no issues with this firm at all. Customer feedback is also strong. The deposit options are stunning. There's no provision for Paypal, but pretty much every other form of payment is allowed. That ranges from the more obvious credit and debit cards, through to hyper-convenient e-wallet options like Neteller or Skrill, and up to the likes of Entropay, Paysafecard, Ukash and Click2Pay.

RTG is known for its swift gameplay, and Midas' crisp interface makes the experience faster still. Multiuser support needs to improve, but the bonuses are good, and Midas offers great payment options.
